Diego, CA is hiring a Distribution Associate at our Clinical Supply
facility. The Distribution Associate will work with our Clinical
Services Supply site in San Diego and perform work that varies in
distribution support activities, including: distribution
coordination, receipt, and storage of clinical trial materials.
This individual will follow established protocols and work plans.
Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required, and the
Distribution Associate may be assisted by other specialists,
technicians, or supervisor.--This is a full-time role position:
Monday - Friday, 8:30am-4pm core hours (on-site)--Catalent is

Catalent employee.--The Role:
- Use JD Edwards/MEP (Enterprise Resource Planning "ERP"
software) to Pick, Pack and verify shipments (small orders and bulk
orders) in ambient and refrigerated conditions, receive incoming
orders in JDE; shipment conditions ranging from ambient to -80C
deep frozen
- Perform Final Verification at pack out, Verify and Label orders
at pack out, Verify/Pack/Process - Order Verification
- Pick and stage materials for packaging, cycle counts and
location checks. Management of Inventory for Production Staging and
Distribution
- Receiving material into the site and entering data into the
running receipt log. Complete data entries into the appropriate
site inventory systems
- Provides inventory related support for other departments.
Performs inventory transfers using appropriate controlled forms.
Makes material moves in the appropriate inventory systems with
minor assistance
- Properly and safely uses warehouse equipment including electric
forklift, pallet jack, powered pallet jack, reach trucks, stock
picker, JLG lifts, and all aerial work platforms (AWP)
- Restock shipping/warehouse supplies and maintains general
housekeeping of warehouse area (Kanban systems). Follows safety and
manual handling guidelines
- Other duties as assignedThe Candidate:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required
- Highly preferred to have 2+ years of experience in warehousing,
distribution or a similar role within the pharmaceutical or
biotechnology industry, as well as previous certification using PIT
(Powered Industrial Truck) equipment (i.e. forklift)--
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) industry experience is
highly preferred--
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and internal
and external customer service skills required. Must be proactive,
with superior time management, organizational skills, and detailed
oriented. Must be able to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and
stressful situations. Able to work independently, as a team,
motivate cross functional teams to meet deliverables on time.
Problem solving and solutions oriented. Focus on quality and
integrity with right first-time approach. Positive attitude
required
- Physical Requirements: On an average 8-hour day this position
requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or
feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and
below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or
crawl; talk and hear, smell and lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional
requirement to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to
stand on feet for hours at a timePay:--
- The anticipated salary range for this role in San Diego, CA is
$50,000 to $55,000 annually. The final salary offered to a
successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several
factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and
length of experience within the job, type and length of experience
within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc.
